Welcome
to Pomfret Community School!
Pomfret
Community School, located in Pomfret, Connecticut,
is a vibrant and active educational community where the intellectual, social and
emotional growth of our children comes first. We have approximately 550 students
from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Our dedicated faculty and staff are
committed to meeting the needs of all our students. Pomfret families have a
strong connection to the school and are proud of the many unique traditions that
make this school so special. The PTO is very supportive and provides the
children with numerous enrichment opportunities throughout the year, such as
cultural arts performances.
We
set high expectations for our students, staff and families.
Our goal each school year is to
provide an education of the highest quality, which is dependent upon the joint
and cooperative efforts of students, parents, guardians, teachers and staff. Our
educators represent a broad range of background and experience. These highly
professional staff members meet together regularly to discuss curriculum and
program issues. They are dedicated to the belief that our mission of excellence
is achieved when people work together for a shared meaningful purpose.
