Pomfret Community School is a PreK-8 elementary school enrolling 547 students for the 2007-08 school year. We are extremely proud of our staff and students’ accomplishments. We are especially proud of the close and positive relationship we maintain with our parents and the community at large. Pomfret Community School is a school where our staff maintains high academic and behavioral standards for our students. At the same time, we are a staff devoted to making school a friendly warm and safe environment for our students, where they learn to excel academically but also appreciate the differences in others. We are committed to assisting our students in becoming productive and caring citizens for the State of Connecticut and our Nation.

New School Hours for 2008-2009:  

Full Time Students: 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

New School Hours Pre K & Kindergarten:
Morning session: 8:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
Afternoon session: 12:20 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. 

Early Dismissal Days: 

1:00 p.m.

90-Minute Delay Days:

10:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

No morning Kindergarten or PreK
