Kara Price-Bachand was hired to fill the seventh grade position in 2006. She teaches English to all seventh grade students. She is the Cross-Country coach as well. 

Her teaching experience includes a long term substitute position at William Johnston Middle School in Colchester, CT, a year as a Special Education Mentor with Project Genesis at Eastern CT and many years as a teaching assistant in Mansfield, CT. 

Mrs. Price-Bachand has also served as a student teacher and classroom intern in grades 3, 5, 7 and 8 during her undergraduate work. She holds a B.A. degree in English and Elementary Education from Guilford College in North Carolina, and is pursuing a master's degree in Reading and Language Arts at Eastern Connecticut State University.
