Dana Heilemann was hired to fill the third grade teaching vacancy in the fall of 2003.  She previously taught for 6 years in the third and seconds grades in Thompson, which was followed by several years of staying at home with her two children. Mrs. Heilemann proceeded to pick up another certification (Remedial Reading) and volunteered in the Brooklyn Elementary School as a reading teacher. 

She  is a graduate of the University of CT (BS in Elementary Education) and the Eastern CT State University (MA Reading and Language Arts) She holds certification for grades PK-3 and 4-8, and Remedial Reading.
