After a great day of play, we often go shopping. We hope to get something good to eat, like an ice cream cone.¶

Ice cream is so tempting on any hot day. Chocolate, cherry, mocha, and mango are only some of the choices.¶

We yearn for a gooey topping and if we get it, we are really happy. We can hardly wait to play at the ocean again.¶

My family is going to rent a home here at the ocean. Getting it for a good rate is important. Many men and women enjoy a holiday here.¶

Skill Check: Camping

Each year, my family goes camping. The whole day long, we swim, canoe and fish in the sparkling water of the lake.

Camping at night is great. The sky is often clear. There are plenty of twinkling stars. The night always ends with singing.

If the swimming or fishing is not good, we get in the car and go away for the day. One windy day, we set off with kites to play.

Peggy, the oldest girl set off with a yellow kite. She jogged across the field. The wind tossed the kite high into the sky.

Camping is a good way for any family to spend a happy holiday. It is healthy to go away from the city. Try it this year.

Skill Check: Gypsy

I had a really great idea today. We can go to see a gypsy at the May Fair. I go skating with some girls who said they went early one Friday night.

The gypsy spent a long time looking at their hands, telling many things that may come to pass in the years ahead. They were eager to know more.

Thinking again, my family will likely say this idea is not a good game plan. Friday night at the Fair is one thing, going to a gypsy for palm reading is another.
