Science

Ocean: We
will enjoy studying the many different
creatures that can be found in the ocean. We have also developed an appreciation
for the ocean and the need to protect this invaluable resource. We will
also study how animals and plants adapt to living in an ocean environment.
Forests: We
will explore the unique habitat forests provide for many living
creatures. We will investigate how plants and animals adapt to living
in this environment.
Matter: We
begin our Matter Unit in the Winter. This unit offers us a chance to
try many different experiments and learn about the four types of matter: solid,
liquid, gas, and plasma.
Rocks: Our
last science unit will allow us to take a closer look at rocks and
minerals. We will use the scientific process to ask questions and
experiment with rocks.
In all of these units
we have emphasized the importance of taking notes and organizing and presenting
the information.
