Our homeroom
is creating a theme basket which will be used in a penny social that is
held at the 8th grade Pasta Supper on March 13th. All proceeds will
be used for their class trip to Washington D.C. in May.
Fourth Grade
is collecting for the "Pasta/Italian Basket"
The items for
each basket may be purchased at a minimal cost. For this theme
basket you can purchase different pastas, napkins, sauces, wooden spoons,
olive oil, garlic cloves, Italian seasonings and more. All donated
items must be brought in by Wednesday, March 10th.
If you'd like
to purchase a ticket for the Pasta Supper, please contact an 8th grade
student.
The 8th
graders thank you!!

From Ana Lamerio
(PCS 3-8 Art teacher):
The
Art Stamps Company has chosen the girl’s artwork from PCS to be
displayed on their website for the month of March in their Girl Power
Collectibles campaign! Normally they select a few students from different
schools throughout the country (literally thousands of artwork are
submitted), but the company decided to display ONLY PCS students
artwork b/c there were so many great artworks from them!
The
artwork that will be displayed on their website ranges from grades K-8
(girls artwork) and will be open for purchasing to the public. Any
purchases made will raise $$ for our school!
Also, the public will be able to vote during the month of March for a
winner of a $25 gift cert to PricelessExpressions.com AND, there will be
five other winners of a $100 cert to Barnes & Noble who receive the
most votes during the CALENDAR year! Either way, one or more students from
our school will win!
All
I need for all of you to do is VOTE! Just go to their website starting
March 1 and vote for one of our student’s artwork! The more votes the
better!

Slide down an iceberg like a penguin, crawl into a polar bear den, test
your Ice-Q (polar knowledge) and more. Ends of the Earth: From Polar Bears
to Penguins is now open in the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center
Traveling Exhibit Gallery at the Science Center. This is the third
offering in our Conservation Series.*
The exhibit takes visitors from one end of our globe to the other to
