Pomfret Community School is pleased to be able to service our students in grades Kindergarten through eighth in music every week. Our program is designed to provide our students with authentic experience through performing, composing, listening, and observing the performances of others. We strive to allow our students the freedom to find their own voice while working within the framework of the classroom. Over the course of the K-8 experience our students will experience many varieties of music and will be given many opportunities to perform themselves. We are confident that our students are learning that music can be a fun and rewarding part of their lives and we hope that we are helping to lay a foundation for their lifelong enjoyment of this discipline.
