Dear Pomfret Community School Members,

On behalf of the Board of Education, the administration, the staff and the students of the Pomfret Community School I welcome you to our district website. The primary purpose of this site is to provide access to timely and meaningful information related to personnel, programs, services and activities at the Pomfret Community School. Please feel free to forward recommendations to me on how we can improve this experience for you and the entire community.

The 2016-2017 school year will mark my second year as the Superintendent of the Pomfret Community School. I am honored to be a member of this outstanding educational community, working with the Board of Education, our faculty, staff, parents, students and the wider community to continue to provide the excellent curriculum, instruction and assessment that our students deserve.

Our mission as a community school is to provide an enriching and safe learning environment where all students and staff are challenged to achieve their highest potential and to become life long learners. We are dedicated to promoting academic excellence as measured by established performance standards and real world applications. We will foster creativity and responsible citizenship so that our students thrive in a changing global economy.

The Board of Education, administration, faculty and staff of the Pomfret Community School are committed to the safety and the success of each and every student. Further, we are committed to working in partnership with our parents to assist them in fulfilling their vital role as the primary educators of their children.

Should you desire additional information or have any questions please feel free to contact me at cullinan(AT)pomfret.ctschool.net.
